《泰晤士世界地图集》被视为20世纪最优秀的英文综合世界地图集，源于19世纪德国手绘地图集传统。1895年伦敦《泰晤士报》首次出版以该报命名的地图集，基于1881年安德烈地图集的英文版，包含117幅地图，其中60幅覆盖欧洲，反映当时欧洲中心主义与殖民倾向。1922年《泰晤士测量地图集》由约翰·巴塞洛缪父子历时15年完成，扩展非欧洲地区覆盖至112幅中的74幅，并附有20万条索引。二战后，1955-1959年出版五卷本《世纪中叶版》，改进地理平衡与投影技术。1967年推出单卷《综合版》，1999年发行“千禧年版”第十版，采用计算机生成地图，成为制图典范。该地图集历经多次修订，持续影响全球制图与地理参考。
