Antarctic Map Folio Series

This article outlines three folios (Nos. 9-11) of the Antarctic Map Folio Series published by the American Geographical Society. Folio 9 presents magnetic and gravity maps of the Antarctic, including free-air and Bouguer gravity anomalies, total magnetic intensity, and short-wavelength magnetic anomalies, with explanatory text on computational methods. Folio 10 focuses on primary productivity and benthic marine algae in the Antarctic and Subantarctic, mapping phytoplankton standing crop, organic productivity, nutrient distributions, and selected diatom and dinoflagellate species, comprising 15 plates and 12 text pages. Folio 11 addresses the distribution of selected marine invertebrate groups in waters south of 35°S latitude.
