This report records the Geography Committee of Morocco’s progress in publishing a second series of cartographic works for the Atlas du Maroc. Issued in 1958 were A. Metro’s explanatory notice for the forest map, an annual-precipitation plate, and a four-sheet plate on European rural holdings. Prepared at the Institut scientifique chérifien from H. Gaussen and G. Roux’s precipitation map, the rainfall plate presents annual means for 1925–1949, rainy days, dry months and the rainfall-observation network, with an accompanying notice. The rural-holdings plate follows a layout prepared by the Société française de cartographie under J. Gadille’s guidance; its northern zone draws on regional agricultural and land-service survey results collected by J. Le Coz. Its maps show European rural estates as of July 1955, holding areas and agricultural production, accompanied by Gadille’s notice. Further plates and notices on saline waters, maritime traffic, hydrography and hydrology are planned.
