The A. critically examines eighteen recent foreign geographical Atlases; three great Atlases for consultation, of which one is English, the *Times Atlas of the World. Mid-Century Edition*; one is Spanish, the *Atlas Universal Aguilar* (the first of this type ever to be published in the Iberian countries), and one German, the *Goldmanns Grosser Weltatlas* (the maps of which, however, are mostly derived from those of the *Grande Atlante De Agostini*); an English economic Atlas, concerning the Soviet Union and the communist Countries of East-Central Europe; a little national Polish Atlas; and several school-Atlases of various nations particularly destined to superior teaching. The A. lastly examines the *Westermanns Atlas zur Weltgeschichte*, which has a peculiar interest even for research-workers of geography. The A. gives the principal characteristics of each Atlas, and their qualities, and if it is necessary, their defects are mentioned.
