Geographie und Kartographie an der Tagung der Schweiz. Naturforschenden Gesellschaft in Solothurn

This article reports on the academic activities of the Geography and Cartography Section at the 146th annual meeting of the Swiss Society of Natural Sciences, held in Solothurn from September 30 to October 2, 1966. The meeting focused on the progress of the "Atlas of Switzerland," including the publication of its second installment and innovations in cartographic methods. The article discusses in detail the conceptual approaches and challenges in creating thematic maps such as climate, agricultural architecture, and tourism maps, and explores the atlas's potential application in school geography education.
