H. Fullard reviews the first instalment of Atlas du Luxembourg, listed as a 1970 publication with 42 maps prepared by Nottingham University's geography department in collaboration with Luxembourg experts. Its six sections cover history, physical conditions, administrative divisions, demography, economic activities and social services. Folio numbering accommodates later additions, and facing pages list sources and occasional comments. The mainly 1960s data provide a baseline for comparison with planned maps based on the census of 31 December 1970. Most maps are black-only, with selective use of colour. Fullard praises the wealth of information and the international collaboration, but criticizes mismatches between stated and actual map scales and the quality and stylistic consistency of lettering.
