Besprechungen: Atlas över Sverige

This review discusses the Atlas of Sweden, published by the Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography, and William-Olsson's Economic Map of Europe. The Atlas of Sweden plans 14 groups with 75 plates at a main scale of 1:2 million, covering geology, climate, population, and agriculture, with outstanding cartography, color use, and printing, and text promising to become a regional handbook. The Economic Map of Europe, at 1:3.25 million, uses spheres to classify settlements over 10,000 inhabitants by occupational structure, distinguishing agriculture, industry, and services, but notes limitations such as schematic arable land representation and that industrial importance may not reflect employment numbers.
