Atlas Antarktiki (Atlas of Antarctica)

This review describes Volume I of Atlas of Antarctica (1966), presenting scientific investigations through 1963, principally by Soviet scientists and those of twelve other countries. Its introductory, general, and regional sections cover exploration history, geophysics, geology, climate, glaciology, the Southern Ocean, and biology. Kuc praises the colour illustrations but criticizes the Russian-only explanatory material. An editorial note records the publication of a complete English translation of the legends and explanatory text in 1967.
