In the late 1980s, the China Cartographic Publishing House planned to release two large-format atlases in the third quarter of 1990. The National Agricultural Atlas of the People's Republic of China, the first volume in the national atlas series, was edited by Zhou Lisan and contains 300 maps, systematically reflecting China's agricultural conditions, characteristics, and achievements, serving as a scientific basis for agricultural planning.
