Summary

This review discusses three significant cartographic works. First, the 'Atlas of the Republic of Austria,' edited by Hans Bobek with cartographic supervision by Erik Arnberger, has released three installments containing 63 maps across 12 thematic chapters, comprehensively depicting Austria's spatial structures in geography, population, economy, and transport, establishing itself as a long-term standard reference. Second, Wilhelm Bonacker's 'Mapmakers of All Countries and Times' is a biographical lexicon with approximately 6,350 entries, systematically covering cartography-related figures from all cultural spheres and periods, making it an indispensable tool for cartographic history research. Third, Alois Fauser's 'Older Terrestrial and Celestial Globes in Bavaria,' published under the auspices of the Bavarian State Library, includes color and black-and-white illustrations, documenting ancient globes in the region. These three works represent different genres—regional atlas, cartographic history dictionary, and thematic catalog—each holding significant academic value.
