Gardiner reviews the 1967 single-volume Comprehensive Edition of The Times Atlas of the World, which offers most Mid-Century Edition maps in updated form at a lower price, alongside new maps, a geographical glossary, and expanded introductory material. He criticizes plate renumbering for preventing direct cross-reference with the earlier index-gazetteer, questions the introductory material’s sketchy coverage, and notes inconsistent colour conventions and lettering legibility.
