Tagung über Nationalatlanten in Frankreich 1966

Summary

Meeting in Paris and Lyon, 26–30 April 1966, the IGU Commission on National Atlases reviewed 16 national progress reports covering atlas organization, production, content, scales, and sample maps. It also examined draft recommendations for standardizing major map themes and legends, noted growing production of regional planning atlases, and revised its 1964–68 work plan. Members were asked to promote atlas production, continue analyses and bibliography, expand international cooperation, and deepen unfinished studies before the 1968 meeting in India.
