Reviews: Atlas van Nederland

Summary

The reviewer describes Atlas van Nederland as conventional and cautious, while praising its cartographic design and technical execution as superb, with elegant simplicity grounded in masterly control of cartographic techniques. The reviewer finds it authoritative in appearance but cannot judge how well it represents Dutch national life. Apart from occasional credits to contributing agencies, the maps identify only the Topographic Service, Delft, as their printer; the reviewer considers their producers entitled to take pride in the work.
