Reports of ICA Commissions: National and Regional Atlases

Summary

The ICA Commission launched a website listing its members, meetings, agenda, and links to online atlases, while requesting more link contributions. At a joint CNRA–UNGEGN meeting in Timişoara, Romania, on 9–13 September 2008, participants discussed exonyms, geographical names, and a practical guide for atlas editors. A workshop established a ten-chapter structure and identified authors for most chapters; harmonization was planned for the October 2009 meeting in Algiers.
