Reports of ICA Commissions: National and Regional Atlases

Summary

Following Peter Jordan’s election as chair in Moscow on 9 August 2007, the commission revived its plan for an atlas editors’ “cookbook” addressing methodological issues in national, regional, city and thematic atlases, with completion targeted within four years. An editorial board was established to prepare contents and recruit authors by January 2008, when an authors’ coordination meeting was planned in Vienna. A new website, including links to web atlases, was also under development.
