Reports of ICA Commissions: Atlases

Summary

The ICA Commission on Atlases announced three events for late 2012. A Kiev conference on 13–14 September was to examine national and regional atlas concepts, border-region thematic mapping, and paper and electronic production; a Guangzhou workshop on 15–16 November would address city atlases. At Vienna’s SOMAP 2012 symposium on 22–23 November, the Commission planned a special session presenting new atlases from Central Europe and beyond within a wider programme on service-oriented mapping.
