Summary

The monograph is devoted to a new method of multispectral space imaging in geographical research and thematic mapping. It draws on processed imagery obtained primarily during a space experiment conducted aboard the Soyuz 22 spacecraft under the Intercosmos international cooperation program. Specific examples are provided of the use of this imagery in landscape, geomorphological, geobotanical, glaciological and hydrological, and marine studies, as well as in addressing agriculture-related problems.
