Summary

The IGU/ICA Joint Working Group on Environmental Atlases, chaired by D. P. Bickmore, set out plans to prepare a pilot design study, with examples, for a Digital World Base Map for Environmental Science. It also proposed presenting the plans at international meetings of related disciplines and submitting a final report to the next ICA and IGU congresses.
