IGU/ICA Joint Working Group on Environmental Atlases

Summary

Chaired by F. Vásquez Maure of Spain’s Instituto Geográfico Nacional, the IGU/ICA Joint Working Group planned to continue publishing reviews and essays on environmental maps. It also proposed investigating ways to represent environmental conditions and factors, developing databases for environmental information, and establishing exchanges among IGU and ICA commissions and working groups addressing related subjects.
