Summary

This review describes the Czechoslovak Military Atlas (1965), intended for military education and civilian teaching and research. It outlines its scales, relief representation, lettering, and coordinate grids. The geographical section contains approximately 155 physical maps, 100 thematic maps, and 144 detailed maps and city plans; the historical section includes about 550 historical and military maps and battle plans. Organized through Marxist historical periodization, the latter extends to postwar conflicts and military treaties. The reviewer notes that army statistics omit the Soviet Union and regrets that the index will not appear until 1966.
