Commission des Atlas nationaux

Summary

This report reviews the Commission’s 1960–64 programme, refined at Budapest in 1962. It extended support from national to regional atlases, formed working groups on population and industrial maps, commentaries, and critical reviews, and organized bibliographic and advisory work. For the 20th International Geographical Congress it prepared proposals on standardized map legends and a regional-atlas fascicle; the report also credits its earlier monograph with aiding atlas development.
