Summary

H. Waldb aur reviews seven further installments of Atlas över Sverige, comprising 20 map sheets, following seven installments previously reviewed. He organizes the notice by atlas section, covering relief, mineral resources, hydrology, animal distributions, occupational structure, agriculture, forestry, industry, shipping, trade and parliamentary elections. He describes fine linework and 25 colour classes for elevations and depths, relief ranges calculated from 5-km squares, and graduated circles and coloured sectors for economic data. He criticizes the relief-energy map for failing to distinguish relief caused by higher elevations from that caused by deeper dissection. Agricultural maps show crop shares and seasonal timing; forestry maps cover extent, ownership and site quality; shipping and electoral maps include international traffic and voting patterns over time. Waldb aur praises the atlas's cartography and content, reporting that 41 plates with accompanying text have appeared and 34 remain to complete the work.
