Summary
This article reviews the third edition of the Atlas of Finland (1925–1928), published by the Geographical Society of Finland. The edition was completely revised in content and structure, reducing the number of plates from 55 to 38 while maintaining informational richness through smaller scales, enhanced map content, and a more synthetic approach. The atlas covers a wide range of topics, including topography, geology, hydrology, climate, biogeography, demography, economy, education, and administration. New features include 1:1,000,000-scale maps of vegetation types and population distribution, typical landscapes, and geographical regions. The reviewer regards the atlas as an exhaustive monograph on Finland, a testament to Finnish civilization, and an effective instrument of political propaganda.
