This review examines the third edition of the Atlas of Finland, published by the Geographical Society of Finland between 1925 and 1928. This edition, the first after Finnish independence, was entirely revised: the number of plates was reduced from 55 to 38, yet the content was enriched by using smaller scales and synthesizing phenomena. The review describes the atlas's major sections—topography, geology, oceanography, hydrology, meteorology, biogeography, demography, economy, and administration. It praises new features such as the 1:1,000,000 topographic and population-vegetation maps, and the map of geographical regions based on multiple criteria.
