Reports of ICA Commissions: National and Regional Atlases

Summary

The ICA Commission on National and Regional Atlases announced a workshop in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for 20–23 October 2010, organized with Gadjah Mada University and other Indonesian institutions. It would address recent directions in national-atlas cartography and examine how national, regional, city, and school atlases convey spatial identity through themes, layout, symbols, language, and place names. Part II of the National Atlas of Indonesia was also scheduled for presentation.
