Reports of ICA Commissions: National and Regional Atlases

Summary

The ICA Commission on National and Regional Atlases co-organized an atlas workshop and mapping seminar in Yogyakarta on 20–21 October 2010. Presentations addressed atlas information systems, national and regional identity, development planning, transnational thematic mapping, and standardization of tactile-map symbols; Volume II of the National Atlas of Indonesia was also presented. The Commission additionally co-organized the Adriatic Forum conference in Vienna on 23–24 September, where atlases were discussed as representations of regional development.
