Summary
This article introduces foreign atlases, focusing on Bartholomew's Physical Atlas from the UK. Sponsored by the Edinburgh Geographical Institute, this large multi-volume physical atlas highlights its third volume on meteorology (published in 1899), containing about 40 pages of global meteorological, climatic, and weather maps with text, and its fifth volume on zoogeography (published in 1911), depicting the distribution of over 700 animal genera with about 70 pages of text divided into four sections: general principles of animal distribution, formation of zoogeographic regions, animal classification, and references. Both volumes are exquisitely printed, but other volumes were not seen.
