IGU/ICA Joint Working Group on Environmental Atlases

Summary

The joint ICA–IGU working group, chaired by F. Vasquez Maure, proposed to collect documentation on environmental atlases and relevant maps in national, regional, and urban atlases; compare their subjects and techniques; develop production guidelines linked to national and regional atlases; and publish the results. Its initial planned tasks were to gather information on such atlases and maps and investigate the precise meaning of “environmental map.”
