Commission on National and Regional Atlases

Summary

The CNRA organized a session on national and regional electronic atlases at the 1994 ACSM/ASPRS Conference in Reno. Presentations reviewed technological and publishing trends, participatory tools, user needs, funding and marketing, an educational Ohio atlas, a nonprofit atlas-authoring system, and a proposed U.S. national atlas program. The papers were slated for a special issue of Cartographic Perspectives, while a joint seminar in India was proposed before the Barcelona Conference.
