Commission on National and Regional Atlases

Summary

This document sets out the tasks of the Commission on National and Regional Atlases: strengthening international cooperation on atlas production, especially among neighbouring countries such as those around the Baltic Sea; improving and standardizing principal map types or model maps; systematically analysing newly published atlases; maintaining an up-to-date bibliography of atlases and related literature; and assisting individual countries with atlas creation. It lists responsibilities, without reporting completed work.
