Summary
Eric Axelson reviews the 1968 Pergamon World Atlas, adapted from a Polish Army atlas with English annotations. Its Eastern European maps draw on sources difficult to obtain in the West. He praises the removable binding, fold-outs, and regional maps, but finds the thematic maps too small-scale and the city plans of limited use. He also criticizes inaccessible page numbering, weak relief differentiation, and bathymetric colours and linework that impair readability.
