Summary

At its London plenary on 22–24 July 1964, the Commission reviewed its 1960–64 work, compared completed and ongoing national and regional atlas projects, and examined publications on atlas bibliography and regional-atlas design. It discussed proposals—not yet final standards—for comparable legends for geomorphology, soils, industry and population. For 1964–68 it approved continued atlas analysis, bibliography and international cooperation, proposed new groups on agriculture, transport and water resources, and sought outside funding for atlases in developing regions.
