Summary

Meeting in Stockholm on 8–9 August 1960, the Commission on National Atlases reviewed its completed four-year program. Its outputs included the French-language monograph National Atlases, a Polish bibliography, commissioned articles, consultations, and a 26-country atlas exhibition. For 1961–1964 it proposed standardizing key map programs and legends, analyzing regional atlases, supporting international reuse, and keeping atlases current; the IGU renewed the commission under K. A. Salishchev.
