Abed Bendjelid · 2007
Abed Bendjelid reviews Djazaïrouna, l’atlas pratique de l’Algérie (2004), praising its paired maps and aerial photographs of urban centres and the pedagogical value of reusing earlier research on natural environments. The atlas covers nine sectoral themes and includes recent mapping of seismic phenomena, internal migration, wetlands, water infrastructure, and hydrocarbon networks. The reviewer identifies weaknesses in some statistical maps and legends, as well as omissions in the selection of cities. He also welcomes more accurate geographical terminology and considers the atlas useful for tourism and urban navigation.
